Hi.
I’m Robert, a 22-year-old Business Management student and apprentice at Kantar Worldpanel, working in client service. Alongside my academic and professional journey — including an Extended Project dissertation on artificial intelligence in the film industry — I have a strong passion for video and filmmaking. I’ve written and produced a range of creative projects and enjoy using film as a way to explore ideas, entertain, and bring people together.
I’m a huge fan of everything and anything related to space! I even had the incredible opportunity to speak with astronaut Tim Peake while he was on the ISS (view here). In my spare time, I enjoy stargazing through a telescope and capturing photos of the night sky.
From a young age, my aspiration to become a video producer has grown immensely, and I’m now eager to take on new and exciting opportunities. I’m passionate about developing my skills in film so I can help tell important and impactful stories. This interest has been fuelled by a love of late-night film marathons and valuable experience in the industry.
I’ve been fortunate to film for small businesses, helping them strengthen their online presence. At school, I led the Tech Crew, operating sound and lighting for theatrical performances. I was also selected as a prefect in both Year 11 and Year 13, roles that improved my communication skills and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone.
I actively took part in extracurricular activities, which allowed me to work with a wide range of people and solve problems as part of a team. A particularly rewarding experience was becoming a reading buddy, helping younger students improve their reading week by week.
At 16, I gained employment at a local garden centre, where I developed my communication skills and confidence. Greeting customers, operating tills, and assisting with queries taught me the importance of customer service — a skill that has proved invaluable in marketing and business settings.
One of my proudest achievements was working with the British Film Institute on a documentary project, where I took on the role of lead editor. This required close collaboration with a team and long hours of editing, drawing on years of experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
It all began with a group of friends coming together to produce engaging marketing content for local and national businesses. My focus was on digital production — videos, websites, and developing strategies such as SEO/SEM to enhance visibility. This led to the creation of our profitable business, Teki Marketing, where I honed my skills in persuasion and client communication. We successfully collaborated with businesses including Hamblys and Riventa.
Today, I run my own business, Riveted Visuals, producing high-quality video content — including live broadcasts — for a wide range of high street businesses.
